Robert Hendricks is a cannabis business attorney in Grand Rapids where he has practiced law since 1984. His experience includes private practice in a large regional law firm, 17 years as head of the Legal and Human Resources departments of a multi-billion dollar public corporation, and a small private practice. He and his partners created Cannalex Law in 2014 to advise medical marijuana businesses in compliance with the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act and the Medical Marijuana Facilities Licensing Act. He also advises clients about hemp and the 2018 Farm Bill.
Bob is a founding member and the Chair of the State Bar of Michigan’s Marijuana Law Section. The section was formed in 2016 and was the first stand-alone marijuana law section in the nation. Bob is a member of the National Cannabis Bar Association and NORML.
Bob speaks frequently on marijuana and business and has addressed the Food and Drug Law Institute, National Environmental Health Association, Michigan Township Association, ICLE, NBI, CLE, WMU-Cooley Law School, Public Corporation Law Section of the Michigan Bar, various sections of the Grand Rapids and other city Bar Associations, and to the Law & Justice Committee of the Michigan House of Representatives.
